Project Description
AUTUMN MOMENTS | THE OVERGAAUW SHED
So by now I am sure ya’ll know I have this thing for anything dried – it is a never ending obsession that leaves me driving in the yellow lane on an almost daily basis.
This shoot was dreamt up by Debbie Lourens and I just went with for the ride. Given free reign in the styling and floral department I put together elements that make my own heart sing. Muddy tones, soft florals and a minimalistic approach to floral design. I feel, as floral designers, we always have a responsibility to be kind to mother nature. Mass amounts of flowers make me uncomfortable… Give me some chickenwire, dried textures and responsibly foraged fillers and my hands start to itch.
Dried artichokes, kooigoed, anemones and poppies (and other foraged goodies) made up the bridal bouqet, tablescape and arch.
