Flowers, first and always.

Flowers found Amanda long before they became her work — the seasons, the textures, the quiet poetry of a single stem. Kadou is the Afrikaans rendering of the French cadeau, meaning gift — and it's the word she reaches for every time she talks about what this life gives back to her. (There's a law degree in there somewhere too, if you're curious — but that's a story for another day.)
