How it comes together
I love your work and want to book you — what do I do?
Reservation and confirmation of your wedding date is finalised once I receive a booking fee (50% of your total invoice) along with your acceptance of our Terms & Conditions — all payment instructions are noted at the bottom of your pro forma invoice.
I've booked you — what's next?
As your wedding date draws near, I'll put together a visual representation of your floral elements and everything I'll use for your décor styling. If you've booked decor styling too, I'll also include "dry mock" images showing candles, candle holders, linen, and how it can all come together. Once those details are finalised, we simply wait for your special day, so my team and I can turn months of planning into reality.
Do I have to book my own vases/vessels?
No — all vases and vessels are included in the costings I send you. They really do influence the flow of an arrangement, and it's important to always choose the right shape. I mostly use my own vases, having invested in quality crockery and brassware different from the usual hired items available.

What it costs, and why
Do you have a minimum spend amount?
You'll always have amazingly talented and skilled floral designers as part of your wedding day. To have such a skilled team and timeous set-up, we work to minimum budget amounts:

Do you promise specific flowers or give a list of what will be used on our wedding day?
Not quite — flowers are seasonal, so what's blooming beautifully this week might be gone the next. Rather than promising specific stems, I work from a colour palette and let the season guide the varieties, always staying true to my design aesthetic and what you love.
Why do you charge extra labour costs?
You know the saying "it takes a village"? That's true for planning and executing your wedding day florals. Every team member and freelancer contracted to assist with your floral installation needs to be paid, fed, and reimbursed for travel. Everyone is hand-picked for their experience and matching design aesthetic — a good team makes for a great wedding day set-up, getting everything done on time and to the highest standard.
Do you do mock-ups?
Mock-ups are charged at full cost — you pay for each and every bunch used, not just a few stems of each variety. Mock-ups usually won't have the exact flowers used on your wedding day, since each season differs, so the focus is on the colour scheme rather than specific blooms. Other costs include travel, hire, labour and time.
Why is it important to give a flower budget?
Not everyone has an unlimited budget for their flowers — if I know what your specific budget is, I can make suggestions that fit within it.

What to expect from me
Can my family or friends assist with the flowers, or even make my bridal bouquet?
I don't have many rules, but keeping the florals in the hands of my own team is one that matters to me. Every arrangement follows a technique and eye I've spent years refining, and having one consistent hand behind it all is what keeps the day feeling cohesive from bouquet to centrepiece. So while I'd love your family and friends involved in other parts of the day, the flower arranging itself stays with Kadou.
Do you also style my stationery (like name cards and menus)?
If you book me for specific styling and conceptualising needs, this is included. If you only need flower and vessel styling, I wouldn't take this on, since my focus and time are dedicated to the flowers. I can, however, add another person's time and travel expenses into your estimate for this purpose.
